This is what CB 3240 looked like when I first received it - a very nice looking pistol - but only shooting 260 - 290 fps with 44 gn .32 roundballs (8.26 fpe)...
This is what happened to my CB 3240 after the good DoctorFrankengun got thru doing a total valve mod(among other mods) and giving it a nice bulking Co2 job...
Now it is shooting .30 cal. 40 gn roundballs at 385 fps (13.23 fpe)...
Much nicer... |

Very interesting- but why didn't Crooked Barn do any valve mods as part of the conversion? It only seems that it would make sense going from a .22 to a .30 caliber that leaving the valve alone would result in a "less than ideal" situation. |

No idea, you'd have to ask Jim Giles; he emailed me that only about 35 were ever made by Crooked Barn...
