I have a crosman 1088 and it will no longer punch the co2 canisters, it only makes a dent...I have put about 5000 rounds and a few (25 boxes of crosman co2 canisters)... Has anyone else had this problem and can anyone give any thought how to fix it...

Thanks
J

Look at the diagram:

http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/1088-EVP.pdf

Parts #20 and #21 need to be replaced, they are about $2.00 each from Crosman.

Oh- and Welcome to AirGunHome.com!

Do that, you could also try gluing a small washer or something to the "cup" on that you screw down. I know it seemed like mine didn't like to make a complete puncture unless I tightened it down with a pair of plyers.

Oh yes, I noticed that last night when I was fixing mine. I almost lost the sear spring. It's so much fun crawling around on the kitchen floor looking for a small spring that is 1/4" long and less than an 1/8" wide.

Or taking a magnet and getting intimate with the crud in the bottom of your shop vac.
