I decided to let you guys see my "custom" backstop. Its 3 haybales on top of a pallet (for drainage) with an old tarp wrapped around it. The tarp is tied in the back and weighted down with bricks. The target board is 3 steaks wedged between the bales with a 1x1 across them. The 1x1 is held in place with golf tees through a hole in the 1x1 and the steaks. Drilled 7 more holes in the 1x1 and it makes for 10 places to set paintballs (well 9 now that I shot one of the golf tees and can't get the thing out of the board!) My 5 yo insist on being in every pic I take!
Let me know what you think.

firemandivi thats from my future son-in-law's paintball gun. Thats how I get so many paintballs to shoot! I tore it apart and replaced all the orings and cleaned and lubed it last weekend. He says it shoots like a new gun.
*edit* And she is a very cute kid. Daddy's princess. Just ask her, she'll tell ya! |

I've been considering putting a couple more haybales on either side, but I kind of like the plywood idea. Set up something like \__/ ? |

This is what my beeman does to a peice of 3/4 inch plywood.
behind my backstop is 20 yd of swamp.
for your's i would do the angle deal, w/ at least an inch behind the bales.
especially w/ the nieghbors crib in the line of site. |

one year of shooting put a large hole into 2 inches deep of tree log.
wood ,not hay. a lot of wood. 10-15fpe blows big holes over short time. |

| When uploading photos to the newly rearranged photo site (?!?)- do NOT select "Adult Image Content" or this sort of ad seems to be attached. Stick to "Family Friendly Image". |
