Convert my Silent Cat to an Air Venturi gas piston?
I like the rifle just fine. I'm getting used to the way it shoots, and it is comfortable to shoulder.
Would I be able to get a far superior rifle for the same money I would have invested in this one after the gas ram?
So far, I have upgraded the trigger only. (GRT III)
Oh, and I need the gun to be quiet!!! |

If you can hit your target and get a clean kill then there really won't be an advantage.
However the advantages of a gas ram may be useful for the activities you engage in most often. Gas rams can be kept cocked almost indefinitely and are likely very hard to break. They also can increase the overall power if its set that way. Mainly gas rams are used in hunting or otherwise high power guns. |

| I converted my Big Cat, and it made a great difference in the firing cycle. Now if I could just get it subsonic again......... |

I'm still very interested in this particular mod. I don't need the gun to be quiet and supersonic sounds super to me. (Get it, super sonic, sounds super?)
Griff,
Did you accuracy suffer at all when you made the switch? |

What ammo are you shooting?
I surely can't have it supersonic every shot.
Too many neighbors. |

| I've been shooting CPHP's, and there's a definite crack when they exit the muzzle. I haven't been able to do any extensive accuracy testing, but I don't think accuracy has suffered much, if any. I think I'll order some Eun Jin heavyweights and try them. |
