Ok here to vent.
Its been a Month and a half since I had a working air riffle.

First my Crosman G1 spring breaks,then the TF Contender 89 I ordered was a defect.

Its now the middle of the month and almost 3 weeks I been waiting for my refund for my TF.

I got a replacement Crosman g1 a few weeks ago and have did everything to get it sighted in.
used 2 scopes and bought a lazerlight bore sighter.

Turns out the replacement g1 is a defect too.
It has barrel droop(its bent down a little)
Thus the reason I could not sight in both scopes.

Now I have to pay another $20 to send it BACK to crosman and wait another month for a replacement.
Im really mad,really mad.

That sucks. Sounds like my story, only mine was a BAM 26-2. I had to send it back to PA 2x before I got a "good" gun last year.

It has been out of service for the last month, I finally got a working, and now seems like the velocity is less than it was after the tune. It is about 100 fps slower than when it was tuned 2000 rounds ago. Should have gone up after the break in, not down. So, now I have to figure this out.

Such is life....

might be time to look into a beeman/rws...

i'm luck of the draw on my springers. so far so good.....

for the frustration and money wasted it might be better to wait and save. Idea

knowing what i know now i would have different guns than what i have. live and learn.

if you did buy a good euro-gun you won't be dissapointed... i bought my b-26 after shootin a beeman r-9. i'd still take the r-9....

...thus why there are forums such as this one- if everything worked perfectly "out of the box" there wouldn't be alot to talk about, would there?

Seriously, at the $100 or so pricepoint, what comes out of the box is a gamble. At $500.00 that may be a different story.

If you get another G1 as a replacement that has issues, you may want to consider repairing/tuning it yourself.

I talked to Crosman today.
Turns out they sent me a g1 made in flippin 2007.
back when they recalled them for the droop issue.

She was very nice and offered to pay for the shipping both ways from UPS.

This time they said if I don`t want a g1 I can get a Phantom (same as g1 with dif name) or the Quest 1000x

Im thinking of going with the Quest 1000x ?

Will they let you have a Quest 800, which is a .22? I personaly prefer the .22 over 17, but that is just a personal preference.

My budy has the G1, I have to check with him to see when it was made. And if he needs to send it back.

Got a update.
Crosman is sending me a .22 Quest 800x!!

Should be here by Friday.
Im excited,its feels like ages since I has a working gun now.

I have 10 airguns but only 1 works. I haven't been able to have them fixed because it's rather complicated going to the PO, packaging them, etc., but 4 I did send but the PO sent them back and the shop didn't answer my e-mail. The e-mail to the other shop in Canada failed and they don't answer the phone.

1 is a .22 which had too low a power from the beginning and the "repairman" in Qb City screwed it so tight the cylinder got stuck and probably ruined the seal and he didn't even fix it. Another 1 is a Colt 1911 which couldn't fire, 3 others lasted only a few weeks. The only 1 that lasted ( several years) and that was any good is my Crosman 357-8 revolver but it is 1 of the 4 I tried to get repaired and it is the 3rd time it needs repair.

And some put on this totally excessive and gratuitous trigger lock which is hard to get off and is completely annoying and irritating.

So I have a lot of horror stories.

I was then recommended a Drulov Condor but with only .177 and 410 fps and at $550 I figure it's not worth it. I recently ordered an IB QB78 Deluxe at .22 and 500 fps and only 130$ which is new and apparently of good quality. There are the Rohm Twinmaster Desperado and S & W 568 that I'm thinking maybe of getting but which are quite expensive, and I wanted the Crosman 357-6 but it isn't even in stock.

The 1 in Qb City is Gravel, probably the worst repairman ever, and the other 2 r AirGunsCanada and AirGunsCanada.net, both in Edmonton.
