I was looking for something else and came across the manual for my Crosman G1:
I never knew I had a spring-powered pneumatic pump gun:
First class Chinese craftsmanship, right down to the manual. |

It's bad enough when everything is made in China, but you'd think people would learn that letting the Chinese factory write the manuals is a really, really bad idea.
And "chinglish" is NOT a language, dammit! |

Now, now, you will be pleasing to observe the correct vocabules. An offspring of youngness may be in attendance.
I could maybe have excused it 50 years ago, when mail took weeks to travel between countries. With the internet it takes but seconds for a draft to travel between the author in China and a proofreader in New York. |

That makes sence....As that is what it is....
A single stroke pneumatic pump that is spring powered....

| Ah, but it is not a "pump" per se. It only moves air based on the spring powering it. The idea of "pump" would, at least in my mind, imply that actually pumping is occurring. As the tube is open (transfer port hole) it does not retain any air at any point, therefore not a pump. |

| I'll agree that in a general sense it is indeed a spring-powered pneumatic pump. In the sense understood by the airgunning world, "spring," "pneumatic," and "pump" have distinct meanings. Presumably that world includes manufacturers of airguns. |
