To begin this is my first entry into this forum and so if I've placed this in the wrong page please forgive me and let the editors/moderators move/place it in the correct one.

My question: - I'm purchasing a pellet rifle for my 11-year old and have narrowed it down to the Crosman 66-powermaster and the Daisy 880-powerline. I like both however for my son it's either too hard to load (one pellet at at time for the Daisy) or too hard to pump (Crosman).

Ok, is there a 5-pellet (or whatever number of pellets) clip like the Crosman that pumps like the with-a-handle-underneath Daisy models?

Thanks.

I don`t think so,unless you get a Co2 powered rifle.

First thanks Midichlorian for the reply. Yea, I've considered the CO2 but from what I've been told they're pretty loud as compared to the two I mentioned above however if I'm wrong please let me know. I mention this as I'm using this in my backyard and am already pushing it in terms of how much noise I'm able to make.

However on that topic, is there either a break-action or CO2 version that does indeed have a multi-pellet clip as opposed to the single one-at-a-time feed? Since posting the message earlier, I narrowed it down to the Crosman only to find out that the barrel is smooth bore. With this, again what else is out there that does indeed use a multi-pellet clip feed like the Crosman?

Take a look at the Daisy/Avanti rifles. They are a single pump pneumatic, have the lever that you described on the Daisy 880, are fairly easy to cock, and are pretty quiet. I have the single-shot version of the 853 (the 853C comes with a 5-shot clip). They are a mainstay of entry level youth competition in the U.S. and Canada. A drawback is the $300 U.S.D. price tag, and also the velocity - about 500 FPS:

A cheaper alternative is the Daisy 953, which is the same gun with a no-name barrel (the 853 has a Lothar Walther barrel). Price at about $75.00 U.S.D., it also has the five-shot clip:
