I'm new to the forum and sort of new to airguns. I had, of course, a Daisy Red Rider when I was a kid (50 some years ago), and have a Crosman 760 that I bought somewhere in the mid-sixties. My grandson is getting interesting in shooting, so I dug out the 760, but it would no longer hold any pressure when I pumped it up. I bought a new one, but I wasn't very happy with the plastic stock. I decided to buy a Crosman Storm XT. It looked like a nice rifle and it is, but the trigger was LOUSY. I heard that the GRT-III was a great improvement, so I ordered one. Then I found this forum and one of the members recommended a GTX Gen II. Too late - already had the other one ordered. I have no idea which is better, but I received the GRT-III in the mail yesterday and installed it last night. The instructions said that it takes from 10 to 15 minutes. I hate to admit it, but it took me more like 45. I didn't have any problems really, I guess I'm just slow and cautious. I tried it out when I was done and it is a great improvement. I didn't have time to shoot it off the bench, but it improved my groups shooting from a standing position a great deal. I made no adjustments at all, and I'm sure it can probably be improved on some more with a little extra effort. I printed off the instructions on how to adjust the trigger, but didn't have time to work with it last night. If anyone has any suggestions as to what to do or more importantly, what not to do, I would appreciate it.
