Just wanted to hear what you guys think about BSA springers? I heard they will no longer be made in England, now they will be made in spain.
How do they compare to RWS and Beeman?
Thanks |

BSA has a reputation... for being well made, accurate, and consistant (since they all aren't that powerful).
If you are looking to get one and have the cash to drop, get one before they move. IMHO the quality won't and shouldn't drop much since BSA still has shoes to fill and will really lose their market if they don't live up to their expectations. Even after that it's still being made by a new place, with new people, and new machines. These new things aren't proven and are likely of less quality- hell they aren't moving to LOSE money, are they? |

Not entirely true. Some Gamo models are sold as BSA and under different model names in the UK. BSA has been owned by Gamo since year and day. PCP and some springer production will stay in the UK. I'm rhyming, isn't that gay?
Models produced in the UK are all PCP's with a BSA Badge on it, and the Lightning and Supersport models.
Then there are the Gamo-like models, which do seem to have some different features from the original Gamo models.
And even then, Gamo isn't that bad, just reasonably priced. BSA's are more expensive and you do get what you pay for. |
