Just went to order some more goodies and his site has disappeared....

You get routed to a page that says the domain name has expired.... WTF ???
Has John gone out of business, did he goof and forget to renew his website, or is he moving to another URL....

I heard rumors a while ago that his business was doing bad.
It may have something to do with him moving to Florida. He used to live like 45 minutes away from me in Jersey. |

| It looks like his domain name may have just lapsed. The expiry date is June 22. Sometimes that happens, but usually businesses notice when their sites go down and rectify it immediately. Doesn't mean he's out of business though. |

If you look at the website details- it still belongs to a John DiStefano- whom I believe is the same person as 6 months ago (i.e. J D S). The options are a) he has decided to go out of business, b) a Registrar grabbed it the minute it expired, despite the fact the prior owner is supposed to have 30 days to renew it before it gets "re-sold"- and they did not update the ICANN (internet) records as required.
Option b) wouldn't surprise me, there are far too many crooked registrars these days grabbing up internet "real estate" to park these bullsh!t ad pages. This part of the internet needs more regulation, dare I say it. |
