Sure, it is raining, 50 degrees, 10 mph wind and generally just a sucky day. So, I put on my insulated motorcylce one pc. suit, put my little electric space heater out on my big back porch, it's not enclosed but I need heat for my hands.... Moved my home-made spinner target to a different part of backyard, with a huge tree stump for a backstop, put it @ about 21-22 yards. So I sat down on porch used a lawn chair for a rest, and managed to get off about 60-70 rounds.....practiced 'til my eyes started getting tired..but I am NOT addicted to target practice with my air rifle!!!! HA! HA! HA!
One thing is for sure, I will have to get something shorter and lighter for any type of off-hand standing shooting. That Storm is way front heavy, and I'm not able to hold it anywhere near steady... Perhaps I'll go for a Crosman Nightstalker, I REALLY like the way it looks and it's shorter and about 1/2 the weight of Storm. The 2250 XT (in .22 cal.) is also a candidate, but about twice the price of the nightstalker.....who here has experience with either or both of these- your input is most welcome. |
