I stuck together some plastic pieces I found at a "dollar store" and made a bit of a plinking adventure.

Unfortunately, it didn't quite work the way I'd hoped. If you wait for the second burst of shots- you see three things get blown away in succession- but unfortunately in all the wrong order. First a piece of some equipment, then a little gray barrel, then the lit candle. The candle was supposed to go first and ignite the gasoline-soaked rag in the little barrel- so the flaming meltdown didn't happen. And yes, I lose track of how many shots I've fired once I get going... Razz

Apparently sometimes I do have too much time on my hands!

Here's the 1077 I used for it, with the 'modified' red dot on it:

And lastly- here's what happened to most of the little soldiers I could find (seems almost everything got blasted so far into the trees they were a bit difficult to locate):

Poor Bastards!

Nice one Eric, now the kids have nothing to play with,or do you set them up glueing them back together. By the way if you want to know how many shots you took, hang about and Stevie will tell you, he's good with numbers especially number 23.

OK!! This is what I know so far:
AirGunEric took 122 shot in total with his 1077, Including dry shots.
That's 109 pellets shot.
And 13 dry shots.
He used up 10 mags in total.
He managed to avoid the dry shots on the 3rd and 9th mag.
And the video is exactly 3:47 minutes long.

All I have to do now is find out how many 23's are in the video!!
Remember, The number 23 is ONLY associated with Evil, So I'm expecting there to be one or two at the start where AirGunEric shot in the wrong order. After I have found out how may obvious 23's there is in the video I can give it a Good/Evil Rating %.

Oops, I got too carried away then... Good work Eric!!!
Shame the explosion didn't go off!! Blame it on 23.

I like the sight mod on the 1077 Eric!! Cool

Also: You should never leave an injured soldier behind! LOL
I'm sure they should turn up sooner or later in the bushes or the lawnmower!!

Stevie Thumb Up!

Yes I ment to ask you Eric the bit of tube on the back of the sight is it to stop reflections, because I have a sight just like that and I have done the same thing, it makes it a lot better.

Ah- yes, that darn '23'!

And Al- yes- that is a cut-down plastic film canister to help eliminate reflections. I have a review on that 0290RD in the "Accessories" topics as well!

I don't think I'm going to find those poor soldiers unless I break out some torches and bring a magnifying glass- they all blew off into the trees behind my little shooting deck and when I went in to find them- I think they must've blown way way in there somewhere- I could only find a few pieces that managed to stay within 10 feet of the outer treeline!

Just collect the remains as you find it, Put it in a box, Bury it, And mark the grave as 'The Unknown Soldier', That should win back the country's respect for leaving injured soldiers behind on the battlefield. Wink

Stevie Thumb Up!

That was great!

I shoot toy soldiers my garage with my p17, in an old steel tool box I modded to be a semi reliable pellet trap. I keep the heads that break off, don't know why... They break off pretty cleanly most of the time. Cheap plastic army men (cheaper the better) shatter nicely with a clean shot.

On the flip side, I have to vacuum up the shattered pieces before the kids get home or they will wonder what I did the 'their' army men. .... ebay ~ $30 a thousand...

You may have had a problem when downloading- the file is OK, but one tiny error when it tries to download and you're toast. Try it again and see what happens (it plays with the standard Windows Media Player).
