Hey Guys,

New to the forum I like what I have read so far.

Well I came across the Ruger Air Hawk Combo for 110.70 at Cobra Airguns . I found that it was the best price I came across but now I'm wondering if that was a mistake. I placed the order last Friday afternoon and my credit card was finnally charged Yesterday (Wednesday) and The gun as of today still hasn't shipped. I have to e-mails one from Wednesday saying the order was sent to the warehouse for shipping Wednesday and after nothing for a shipping confirmation I sent another e-mail last night only to get another e-mail saying the same thing with the addition of sorry for the delay. So here I am Late Thursday and still no Shipping confirmation from them. The 8th will put this order at one week old and the gun hasn't even shipped yet. I tried to call and just get answering machines at both numbers the e-mails responses don't tell me squat. Should I have not even dealt with this company? Here's the kicker I ordered the peep site for my 397 last Friday 30 minutes after I ordered this gun. I got the Peep site from Pyramid on Wednesday and I new it would be in my hands because I had the shipping confirmation on Monday. Please tell Cobra Airguns is better than this or am I out $125.00 bucks??

Welcome.

They should be, but service isn't the greatest there. You will learn to use Pyramyd Air.

CALL Cobra.

Yeah Live and learn. I've never had an online order take so freaking long. Now I get to deal with a pissed off Step son this weekend cause I told him I'd have a new gun and he could use the Benji 397. I do customer support for the company I work for and I can say I was disgusted to see the same, short worthless e-mail two days in a row from some woman that sounded like she basically didn't give a rats rear about it. I'll try to call Friday again because at this point I would expect to get an upgrade in shiping so I don't have to wait another week. It'll definitly be the last time I deal with them and if anyone asks I'm sending them to Pyramid. The place I should have gone, I should have paid the 5 bucks more. Live and learn I guess. To anyone else reading this wondering how they are to deal with well here's my experience and it isn't a good report at this point. I'll report back to let you know what I find out.

Nice to hear you have a son to shoot with, and that's enthusiastic about it.

From what I have heard about Cobra, if you contact them via phone you can sort things out easily and get a refund on your order, discount, or some other compensation.

I would still order from PA next time, or Adventures in Airguns, Pomona Airguns, Airguns of Arizona, Straight Shooters, Archer Airguns, and Precision Airguns and Supplies. Most of the ones I just mentioned are places that you have to CALL and talk to someone for information and ordering- this gives you better service because the fine people on the other end of the line can do things more specifically than an online order form or a fax.

Yeah he loves to plink the grass rats with me. He lives with his dad who likes to ride the couch and watch tv instead of being out side. But that's another story. Anyways I'm picking him up Friday to come stay with us for the weekend for mothers day. Grass rat shooting on Saturday and a little golf on Sunday. The company I work for is internet based and I can say we ship all orders within 24 to 48 hours and you get e-mail notifications right away if there are issues of any type whether good or bad news. We will also upgrade to express shipping and even overnight in some cases. I'm the head of our support and marketing depts. and I don't let our customers put up with stuff that I wouldn't tollerate at all. With Jane's e-mails I just felt like I was being BS'd for no reason and I'm sorry but a five word sentence just doesn't clear the matter up in my book. Pay the extra money and deal with the bigger companies. It makes me think they don't even have the gun in stock and that's why it hasn't shipped. It was listed in stock on the site.

AGE thanks for the link. It doesn't help the matter. LOL It's clear that they haven't changed thier ways to much. Well I will be calling them Friday moring to either get a full refund or to get what I paid for shipped next day. So i have it the first part of next week. I look at it this way if you can't do what your website claims then your false advertising.

Yeah that's putting it rather nicely. Well for ordering almost a week ago and still no shipping notification or reason as to why the order hasn't shipped it sure makes me wonder. It says right on there Website an I quote "Your credit card will not be charged until the order ships" well as i stated in my earlier post my credit card was charged yesterday and the gun still hasn't shipped all I get is this e-mail twice:

"Your order has gone to the warehouse and will be getting shipped out. We are sorry for the delay.

Jane
800 898 0741
Customer Service Dept.
Cobra Outdoor Sports ltd.
http://www.airgunsbbguns.com/

I got that e-mail Wednesday and after no shipping info by Wednesday night I sent another and got the same reply again. It's gonna be real interesting to hear why they say it still hasn't shipped. Sad part was I googled this company several times under "Complaints against Cobra Airguns" And many similar searches to see how their customer care was. Nothing came up. So I ordered from them. Well hopefully if someone else does what I did this will come up and be a warning to them to go elsewhere.

All I ask is that they man up to their obvious problem and do the right thing by making it right with me. At this point I would rather get the gun rather then going through the whole fight to get my money credited back to my card. I look at it this way if I order from someone else or they do finally ship it the time will be the same. Just more of a hassle getting the money back.

I should have an answer by 10 AM my time Friday.

i guess my business would fall into the category of shitty customer service, because i wouldnt even deal with a customer like this!! customers are NOT always right!!! i bet if you actually check your CC statement, tyhe money was NOT charged, but was verified. meaning they earmarked the funds in your account, pending shipping. as for it taking a week??? come on.... in stock and on the shelf or not, i bet if you read the fine print it will say something to the extent of " please allow 6-8 weeks for arrival". that is standard for any industry that relies on shipping.
i have dealt with this company in the past, and had no issues what-so-ever.

even in my industry, i still get amazed by what customers expect.... NO ONE, i repeat NO ONE! is in business to make friends, we are all in it for the profit!!! and it doesnt take long to be able to identify the "type" of customer that is gonna be a problem and ultimately eat into the profits ( free shipping refunds ect)

dont like your experience with a vendor? fine... dont do business with them again, but please be realistic with what you expect.
your a customer service rep for your company... thats fine, i suggest if you want that same service, you deal with your own company, and not one from the real world of making a dollar.

Think before you speak wise a$$!! I used my debit card. The money was taken right out of my account on Wednesday. And give me a break 6 to 8 weeks for delivery get real what rock have you been living under. Internet sales is all about speed. If I wanted to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get something I would have done it the old fashioned way, get an order slip from the catalog and fill it out. Then mail it in to the place to then have the order processed. That's a 6 to 8 week order time. Interent is, place the order and it will ship within 24 to 48 hours. It's how internet sales go these days. I'm in no way being unrealistic at all. And as I stated if you would have read: They say 1 to 2 days to process the order, That time came and passed. They also say they will not charge your credit card until the item ships at which that time you will get an e-mail with a tracking number. Well they took my money and nothing shipped yet. Like I said ordered from Pyramid same day was here two days ago. I ordered a 60 buck computer cable from a place in Florida last Friday as well. It Showed up Wednesday as well. A day earlier than what the UPS tracking number showed. So don't come in here giving me sh!t and saying the customer is not always right, because if your in a business and your doing it right the customer is always right no matter what.
