Don't know if I should put this here or under rifles....but since it's general discussion i put it here.

I just broke down and ordered a TF6. It got pretty poor reviews up till a couple of years ago, the more recent ones though are preety good. Campasco dropped the cost down to (aprox) $56 this weekend and I wanted (note how I resisted the temptation to say I "needed") a new mag. for my TF66. So when I ordered the $6 mag., I included an order for the TF6.

I know, no will power.

Anyone seen or shot this rifle? Looks interesting. Supposed to get close to or above 12 fpe...but who knows. This was a few years ago an underpowered rifle according to the "reviews".

Oh wel, the point is...new rifle ordered....always something to look forward to when a new AG is coming.

i haven't seen it. get the 89 palidin you'll like it. after break in it's a good gun. don't apologize about will power. if it wasn't for a weekend trip next month i would've come home today with a new .22 disco! Shocked.

i'd think a $60 TF would be crappy though.

I'd finialy decided I couldn't spend the money on a new airgun right now. I've been tempted by the 99 (wrote about that), and saw good reports on the 89, but due to "situations I won't belabor" I had decided not to go with a new rifle, I have several break barrels and one under lever, even a TF66 in side lever, so...I marshaled my will power and decided not to buy!

Then I got the Campasco Email about their "week-end sale"...ok so I'm a cream puff will power wise. Rolling Eyes

I'd been tempted by the model 6 for a whild, short and easy to carry, had been getting good reviews for the last couple of years, realatively powerful. And it was getting harder to find (you don't see them around in many places anymore). They knocked it down to roughly $56 ($55 and change). I'd been meaning to order a spare mag. for the 66, so I caved and ordered the TF6. It was easier than an 89 to rationalize (a lot less money).

This is the picture from the web sight it has a folding stock and will make a pretty good back-pack gun. The TF66 is a breakdown rifle...this one is rigid but with the folding stock.

Assuming all goes well with getting it I'll try to post a shot when i get the one I ordered.

i had something similar in .177 18 or so years ago. shot around 650fps. quite accurate at close range. it was chinese but i don't remember who made it. i recall paying $50 or so for it. had the same sights as an AK-47.

This could be the same basic model. Up utill about 3 or 4 years ago this one was rated at about that. In the last few years the chinese have "upped" the spring capacity. The reviews I've seen on this one put it at close to 800 fps, but I don't know with what weight pellet.

i think a gun that size you'd be doin' good at 10fpe. more than enough for cans at 20 yards. Cool
