I'm sitting here looking at a Hatsan Model 33, which has a somewhat different forearm than most rifles, sort of spread on the bottom edge. It's different, but I am unsure as to whether "better" applies.
Anyone ever use one of these extensively? |

Not sure if that extended grip improves things or not but it certainly is a fine looking rifle.
Hatsan seems to do a great job of hiding the cost of their products. I thought to try to download a catalog (pdf file) thinking prices may be there but found no joy with that attempt either. |

I have heard that Hatsans only get reasonable over past the number of 150 or something. In a large caliber, that is. I don't like stuff made in Turkey, but we've been there before.
I can see how that fore arm would make for a good rest, but doesn't Crosman and Diana sell something with a comparable forearm too? |

I'm going to be adding a Hatsan to my gun rack..
either a 60 or 75 .22 @ 800fps
same gun ones wood the others plastic.
The Webley Jaguer is the same gun also with diffrent stock
with looks like a green version of the 85 stock.
A couple of my mates have Hatsan,s a 85 & 125 both .177....the 85 is
a great gun @ 1000fps...but the 125 @ 1250fps..is a real
b!tch to shoot way to much recoil & twist but it hits like
a sleadge hammer.
And yer can get the 125 in .22 @ 1000fps..as the
Webley patiot.
And theres also a Webley in .25 @ 880fps
Broom....my Kral,s are turkish and theres nothing wrong with them
just look at the bunny,s the little .177 underlever drops
and it will stack pellets in there eyes at 40m
HATSAN MOD 60 .22
HATSAN MOD75 .22

The 60s is an interesting rifle- .22 cal but it has a chromed barrel, makes it look like aluminum. Rated at 750fps/230mps but that is likely a bit of an exaggeration- probably more like 700. Uses the same spring as the Model 125, so it might be a bit of a bear to shoot as well.
It's that forearm on the 33 that has me wondering. It looks real nice, but I'd like to know how it feels after using it for an extended period of time. |

INTERESTING...Just looking at the pics of the 33 & 75
they look as if they may have the same stock just a wee bit
longer in the fore arm on the 75.. |

I'm just discriminating on Airguns, that's all. After what they did to Webley, I don't feel like buying anything from Turkey. |

When yer really think about it.....Webley realy stuffed them selfs with no help from Hatsan....They sold out to hatsan because of there own short sitedness...building guns that only a few wanted or could not afored....
The webley name is only out there still because of Hatsan.....after all if it wasn't for Hatsan it would not only be there guns that are gone but there name aswell....They needed to make what the market wanted....they didn't and payed the prise....There is NO such thing as a Webley air gun anymore...thats the way of the world.....So theres no use blameing Hatsan
for picking up the peices after Webley went belly up from there own makeing. |
