Got to shoot it a bunch today. The shot cycle is unreal! In 177 it was a growling beast, kicked hard and was LOUD. After about 5 shots with the 22 barrel it settled into a civilized thunk.....much quieter too. Accuracy..welll this is after about 20 shots, barrel isn't "seasoned" yet.... first up was the "Domes" from Archer.....2"@20yds, didn't expect them to do well; Silver Ace, 16gr (weighed) turned in a great .16" for 3 shots @ 20yds!! These are old pellets I got from my friend, didn't shoot for diddly in his AA410! And of course FTS....3 shots @ .09"!!!! I have a pellet sampler that is waiting for further testing. I settled for 3 shot groups as I was so excited and the gun is a kicker. Will get some pics and chrony numbers soon!

There are no accidents, there is only ignorance, mechanical failure, or "ACTS OF GOD"!

Are you referring to the Beeman RS1 or the R1? The reason I ask is you mentioned dual calibers, which the RS boasts. I have an RS2 myself with the .22 barrel loc-tited in, and yes, it's a beast. Chrono'd @ 670 (avg) using RWS superdomes, a far cry from the 800fps it claims, but still packs a punch!

EDIT: Just saw your origianl post, disregard.

Kids. 670 Fps with RWS Superdomes isn't that powerfull. Try a Diana 48 with RWS Superdomes at 820 Fps. It's really easy to shoot too. Mr. Green

At several times they do more in .22. I got one in .177 with heavy pellets (10.3 Grain).

A Diana 48 should do at least 18 Fpe in .22.

is one nice gun. Haven't had time to shoot it much yet and I won't bother with a chrono until I'm ready to tune it. I'm debating Maccari's power tune kit versus the Theoben air spring kit for the R1. It comes down to power versus a gun with half the recoil and a much faster firing cycle and, for me, a more accurate gun.

Since "magnum" numbers are being thrown around....my as yet untuned .22 Walther Talon is pushing cheap Crosman 14.3gr pointed pellets at around 938-944fps making it a 28ft.lb. gun out of the box. Not bad for a "cheap" Turkish gun or cannon. I sent it to C.A.P. to make a wood laminate stock and will tune it when I get it back.

But it ain't no R1. Everyone who has this crazy airgun addiction owes it to themselves to own a high-end springer, whether it's an R1, R9, RX2, or the HW equivalents. If you've got money to burn the Theobens are outstanding. It's like owning a functional work of art.

Actually they range from 16 to 20 Fpe .Some .22's do 22 Fpe. It's not a rifle to shoot paper with though. Neutral
