I have a Walther red dot sight fitted to my Rohm Twinmaster, which is ok but it is a pig to adjust to a new poi. So looking for something easier to use I decided to fit a Hawke red dot, the only problem was that the hawk had a 11mm rail fitting, whereas the Rohm has a 21mm Weraver rail.
A new 11mm rail is $36.00 so I made one myself (I'm a cheapskate), this is quite easy to do and can be applied to other makes of pistol.
This is the new rail it is made out of two pieces of aluminium, the top one has a chamfer down each side to take the red dot clamp, this is rivited to the base and suitably drilled to fit the gun.
This is the rail fitted to the Rohm
Finished outfit
This would work well for pistols but I wouldn't recommend using it for a rifle scope.
