Got sick of waiting for the lathe I wanted , Couldn't surply
it in single phase at the time I ordered it they said 2 weeks, 2 weeks came and went , 4 weeks came and went stuff them I cancelled the order.
anys ways..I found this LITTLE 7x14 used Sieg "it will do-have to I got it now" it was under half the prise of a new one and had all these extras.
4 jaw chuck , quick change tool post , 2 tool sets.
The specs say it has a 20mm spindle bore & yer it sure dose,
BUT - - The DAM 3 jaw chuck only has a 16mm hole though it
4 jaws got a 20mm
Well thats a trap for young players , and me.
New chuck me thinks
funny wee things....compared to what I'm use to ...yer just scrathing
at the surface of the metal
Not haveing a work shop in the new place yet...It got parked up in the little tin garden shed
