| guys, is this a good idea? i'm speaking of my tech force 89. it is on par in size and power of the rws 350 mag. i keep having to tighten the screws every so often. |

If you use loc-tite thread loc it will be fine.

Loctite comes in many strengths. Everyone knows the high strength red and the medium blue, but there are others.
I use low strength purple when I'm not sure if I should be putting using loctite on the fastener. If the purple doesn't hold, move to blue. But purple doesn't complicate removal in the future either. |

Loc-tite do tend to change colours depending on which country you are in, some use names like Bearing fit, sleeve fit etc where as other countrys just use a number. also other manufactures have there own colours.
Loc-tite make a dedicated product for thread locking and this works for most purposes, the problem is that on small screws the surface area is to large for the method of turning the screw, and therefor loc-tite may lock it up solid, you can decrease the holding of any locking products by adding corn flour to it, about 20-30% volume.
If you get it wrong and the screw is solid, the get a medium size soldering iron and apply the tip to the top of the screw and hold it on there until the screw heats up, then give it a try.

"Corn starch" over here, not to be confused with "masa harina" or "corn meal."
