This is my first post and I just wanted to introduce myself.

I recently finished my tour in the USAF and started a job working second shift at a factory here in Northwest Tennessee. I was never too terribly interested in air rifles until about a year ago, even though they seem to have popped up in interesting places throughout my life. I even saw some engenius uses for them when I was in Iraq.

I've owned many air rifles through the years and a few weeks ago I bought a Beeman 1073 from wally world. It seems to be good so far.

I've tried finding information about air rifles through my usuall forums, but it seems like no one there has any info about proper care, maintenance, or pellet selection. I'm glad I finally found a forum that specializes in that!

Anyway, I hope to have many good times with you all!

Hey Moose-eater,

Welcome aboard, I hope you'll have a good time.

What does Moose taste like anyway?

Feel free to post around. We usually don't break our new members in. Mr. Green

Welcome! These are a great bunch of guys on here. Especially when they help you out instead of just yelling at you to use the search. I have learned quite a lot in my short time here, so hopefully you do the same.
Have a good time!

Yes, we will explain the same things over and over, with total patience. For instance, just ask us about Gamo!

I can never find anything on search. I always ask my wife to look something up. Yahoo doesn't like me either. Razz

Well, most search options are a bit of the opposite of being user friendly.

But this one isn't that bad, is it?

The thing is that you have to take your time to look things up. A lot of people aren't patient enough to try it. They type something on google, then try it on Yahoo and they think that's it.

I used to do that but found it way more rewarding to take the time to look something up.

Thanks everybody! Very Happy

To answer your question, Broommaster, moose is a little like something between beef and venison. A little more tender with a more full flavor than venison, and a little more body to it than beef.

Interesting. I'll be sure to bring a Big Bore Air Rifle if I ever go to Sweden. Mr. Green

Would a Carreer Dragon Slayer be big enough? Pyramid Air sells them and they are easier to get than Gary Barnes beautiful big bores (and cheaper!) Sarah Palin hunts and eats Moose, if it's good enough for her it's fine with me!

Sarah Palin, change you'll be begging for in 2012
