It's said to be around $ 500. That's a nice price for the way it looks, especially when we're talking about a magazine fed rifle.

Well, looks good.

Yeah, and I just sold my Airmagnum and Slavia to get a new Airmagnum in 4.5. Should I keep saving? Mr. Green

Nah, I guess this should just be okay for now. I'll get myself a PCP when I move out. Mr. Green

Eric- I specifically remember you saying 'we did not hear it from you'... Razz Anyways looks pretty good, assuming the checkering is carved and not stamped. Be interesting to see how it holds up in its new price range. If that price does not include a pump those 'upgrades' better be worth their weight(pun intended)!

I read the accouncement and looked at the specs, but I believe that given the price point, I would prefer the Sumatra .25.

I love my disco, but if I want to go magazine feed, I feel the Sumatra with the lever action and a long history of great workmanship and design, makes more sense. Any reason I should think otherwise?

I spoke with my CR rep... No parts breakdowns yet... but... it is belived to be the same platform as the whole 22xx line...

Can anyone say... Repeating breeches for our 2240's & 50's

I am promised a call and will order the breech set up and try it out when it becomes avail...

I didn't mean to discredit you, but since it got all out in the open, I just felt like opening this little topic. Mr. Green

We can say "Airgunhome, where you hear things first!".

spanktron9- I agree. Just too much competition in that price range. Most others are offering more power and usually more shots per fill. The Disco seems to need to be tuned before being an acceptable performer, so Im anxious to see if Crosman got it right this time for out of the box performance. The concensus on the other rifles in that price range seem to have it. Still I must say, I took another look at it again and it does look really good. Definitely up there with Air Arms as far as intial 'wow' factor is concerned(IMHO of course). Lets hope the fit and finish is there also.

The thing is, that it's probably a lot smaller then an Air Arms. The Disco isn't that big either...

According to the specs, the Marauder is about the same size, and about a half pound heavier, than the AirArms 400-410.... and nearly 50% heavier than the Disco.... It looks like the price point is about twice that of a Disco (without pump) and half that of an Air Arms....

In comparison to an Xisico XS-B50, it is again about the same size, and a half pound lighter.... but the XS-B50 is in between the Disco and the Marauder in price.... What I like about the Disco/Marauder is that 2000 psi fill.... about 80 fills from an 80 cu.ft. 3000 psi SCUBA tank instead of NO complete fills.... and of course MUCH easier to hand pump....

What other choices are there in lower priced PCPs ?.... I'm curious, because that's likely what my next gun will be.... Wink

Bob

Branz-

I caved yesterday and ordered the Sumatra 2500 in .25. Picked up a Leaper's 3-9 and 4 packs pellets to go with it. I'll post photos and impressions when it arrives. (Assuming my wife doesn't kill me first, after seeing the bill.)

An un-tuned Benji Disco performs quite well, to be honest. They're not bad rifles at all.
