So after my last couple shots the tank seemed to be expelling air long after the shot. This prompted me to get a new barrel and lube the o-rings.

Today I finally test fired it, and guess what happens? Nothing, just a click. Even if the tank lost a lot of air, it should make more noise than that. Also, the whole slide and breech didn't seem to fit and slide as smooth as it used to, but I just figured it was because of the lube or something.

Then I thought to refill the tank if it had lost air. But I can't even refill it! My hand pump doesn't seem to want to fill it. Almost as if the tanks valve is stuck and won't open or close. Which might explain why the gun didn't fire.

But I am confused as hell now. What would cause this and how do I fix it?

And I can't mail back a compressed air tank since that's illegal. And even if I sent it to airforce to fix, who knows how many months that would take. And I've only filled this tank a few times and shot a few hundred rounds out of the rifle. This shouldn't be happening.

You are right... It shouldn't be happening. Probably would have been better to resolve the valve question before swapping barrels as now you have another variable to work with.

There is a relatively easy way to let the air out. drop a coin (penny/nickle - I forget what's been tried) into the fill adapter on your pump and slowly screw the tank in. The coin will compress the valve. Just do it SLOWLY.

I tend to think your tank dumps and this issue are related somehow. Maybe something stuck in the valve. Not hard to take it apart, not sure how hard it would be to tell what's wrong. Just don't mess with the valve with ANY pressure in the tank. Also see my PM.

Good trick with the coin in the breach. I'll have to try that if ever need be done.

I refused to accept that the gun just "stopped working", so I went back over it again. I kept trying to work the cocking mechanism back and forth and finally got some air to come out. Then I took off the tank and cleaned the valve with a q-tip. I finally got it to take air as well. No idea why I could'nt do either of those things to begn.

It does appear to be shooting like normal now, although I can't tell if I'm getting weak shots or not because I don't have a chrony.

I know, I need to get one. Especially since I have no way of measuring my tanks true air pressure, then at least a chrony will give me some other way of quantifying my shooting power.
