Howdy folks,
I'm new here and relatively new to airgunning but I'm enjoying it more and more. I recently bought a Beeman 1027 Takedown rifle which as far as I can tell is an FH 500 with a removable barrel. I've put about 500 pellets through it and I'm really starting to get the hang of it. I can put 5 rounds inside a dime at 10 yards.
My problem is that all of a sudden the trigger pull has gone from a moderate 2 stage to a ridiculous 1 stage. It literally takes nearly all my strength to get it to go now. It changed within a few shots. I'd love to fix it but I can't find an easy way to take this thing apart. If it requires taking it to a shop, keep in mind that I live in Boston, MA so not many of those 'round these parts. Might as well get a new and better rifle then. Any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks. |

The Beeman '1xxx' series guns are all Made-In-China Walmart specials. That being said, they can be used for basic shooting.
Here's an idea of what someone did to improve theirs:

and another on the 1xxx guns in general:

I wouldn't expect removing it from the stock should be a big job- but I guess you never know. If you can get it out of the stock (maybe 4 screws removed to do this) see if something has jammed up or fallen off in the trigger assembly. I suspect a plastic adjustment piece has floated free, or a spring has bent/split. |
