I know the .177 would be close to the sonic boom, but is it?
Are there pellets you can use to keep it under?,you dont need that CRACK sound in a subdivision.
Then another question,.22 or .177?
Whats the more realistic fps, some sites say 1350 for .177 and 1150 for .22,some say 1250 for .177 and 950 for .22.I'ld say the 2nd would be more accurate.
Umarex has some deals on refurbs.
While I'm at it,anybody got/used a Hammerli x2,dual caliber? |

Go for the Diana in .22, or .25 if you can get it. That's a pretty good and powerfull rifle. You don't want to break that barrier, it will screw up your accuracy.
Compare it to aircraft. The ones that break the sound barrrier are bullet shaped, the ones that don't break the sound barrier are dome shaped. |

| You can slow any of the "boy am I fast" rifles down simply by using a heavier pellet. When a diablo shaped pellet goes super sonic it tumbles and loses accuracy anyway. The super powerful .177s that are supposed to shoot so fast are good rifles for the extra heavy pellets. |

Yup, and heavier pellets means cooler impact. |

Just been readin that the 460 has some issue with it locking up during cocking,a breech problem, and vilosity drops.
What is the breech anyway,is that where the peelt is inserted air air flow is?
broom,what would I need with a .25 caliber anyway?
This is how I normally shoot,98% plinking cans, paper, sticks and other things.I may try to knock out a bird or squarl every now an then. |

Believe me, the bigger the bullet, the cooler the impact. If you shoot a .22 or a .25 trough a can, believe me, it will be more satisfactional.
I bet the Hammerli rifles have their own problems too. I wouldn't go for a 460, rather a 350 in .22 (or .25). |

| I have a Gamo Stutzen abd the breech pops up at the back of the barrel when you cock the underleaver. You just push it back down manualy. I don't know if the Diana RWS 46 Stutzen is the same or not. |
