*The BS Topic
Talk about [almost] anything. Topics could include introductions, jokes or generic, non-airgun items.*
Please take note Eric that I have kept silent over the last few days as we who may disagree with cw have been treated to a continual barrage of his attacks on what we may believe, like or whatever. The "name calling" has been aimed at the out going president, and whether you agree with him or not, it has gotten somewhat offensive to at least some of us.
This is supposed to be a place to to talk about anything, I have no problem with cw's diatribes but those who disagree with him should therefore be able to at least reply. I understand you wish things to stay calm, but there needs to be some middle ground. My suggestion is to let him go on, but allow others to answer if they want, and can avoid things like profanity.
Meanwhile, I'll back the new president and hope that I'm wrong about the things I dreaded. I will plan to continue enjoying country music, and all the other things that cw thinks are "stupid", and worry about supporting another president in three or four years.
Just a thought, it seems the the BS topic is becoming nothing but a string of cw attack posts. |

I am still failing to understand what the issue is.
All I have ever stated is that members should not be calling each other names.
I.e.-
Member 'A' cannot call Member 'B' a fucktard.
Member 'B' cannot call Member 'A' a douchebag.
Member 'C' cannot call everyone in the discussion a bunch of stroppy tarts.
It's that simple.
If someone wants to tell someone else they're claim is full of holes- go at it. If you want to say Member 'A' needs to check his facts, that's A-OK. If Member 'B' wants to post some facts to dispute some claims- no problem. If someone is in opposition to a joke about their favorite public figure, they can post up similar content about another public figure, whatever.
But the second someone here gets called a name or personally attacked in an ad hominem manner- that's not cool. This sort of thing does not follow any sort of etiquette or allow a discussion to advance, it just becomes a situation akin to kids fighting in kindergarten and ending up with bloody noses. |

| In your case, paladin, when I had brought this up previously (and as was also explained previously) I had obviously confused you with someone else who had been name-calling in a counter-productive manner in other discussions. I have since verified who it was that I had confused you with, and have paid more attention as required. |

| Ok eric, sorry if I became overly cautious. I try to respect the rules and know you haven't been happy with some of the continuing arguments. Thanks for your response. |
