hello everyone
my uncle gave me a crosman 2100, serial starts with 995. it does not pump up. what i mean is, you pump and pump and no pressure bulds up. it is very easy to pump the mechanism and it does not get harder as you pump. i disassembled the gun and nothing is missing or broken. all the seals in the pump rod, cup, valve, pump tube look good.
it hasnt been oiled in a long time so i oiled the felt thing on the pump rod and worked it about 100 times. still nothing. i dissassebled the check valved and used an air hose to force air into it and confirmed that it does hold air.
so it seams it's down to the rubber pump cup i guess. it looks to be in great shape.
has the pump cup shrunk?
has anyone else had this problem or have any advice on where i go next? i can order parts, but i'm not sure what to order.
thanks in advance for any help

| Usually it is the pump cup that goes funky when this sort of thing happens. Pull it off and inspect it thoroughly. Fortunately, it's a cheap part if it's the problem- about $2.00 |
