Admittedly I didn't search very hard, but I don't see any stickys or FAQs either. Anyway, I have a cheap Daisy Powerline 317x that I bought 4 years ago. It's a nice little pistol for me, since I'm not terribly into BB guns. I've never done maintnence on the thing, and about 2 years ago, it stopped holding pressure. As fast as I can put CO2 cartridges in, they drain. My question is, where can I find a gasket replacement kit for the gun and what lubricants/sealants should I use when rebuilding the gun? What's that? is it possible you mean a 617 or a 717? The 617 is a Co2 gun, the 717 a pumper. So- you can lube either with silicone oil or 30-weight (30W) non-detergent engine oil. If yours is Co2 I believe you must have the 617- not a '317' or a 717. When I read the barrel last night, I was holding it at an angle and the 6 looked like a 3. I've got some silicone oil right here...how do I lube this thing? I'd like to see the internals of the 617. That being said- perhaps you have something jammed in the valve- even a small amount of dirt could cause a leak. Can you pull the trigger and hear the hammer move? If not- perhaps it is jammed in the "fire" or "on" position, allowing the gas to flow straight through the valve. I am assuming for both of the above possible issues, that the gas is leaking out the barrel- not right at the 12g caplet connection. _________________ ` I'd say "I care." But I'd be lying. The air is leaking directly from where the CO2 catridge gets punctured. The cartridge gets very cold as soon as it punctures. The hammer is external, and when I do put a cartridge in, it will shoot, but it leaks out very quickly. I don't have a diagram, but if it helps, the problem started when the gun sat for about a year and a half with a 12g catridge in it. When I removed that cartridge and installed a new one, it began leaking. _________________   Posted: Sun Aug 24, 2008 4:36 pm deecaig Member Joined: 22 Aug 2007 Posts: 43 Some co2 cartridges are to short so when done up do not seal. Try putting a small coin on top of the co2 before doing up your end cap.
