Howya, newbie here.

ive recently bought a Gamo Vipermax .177.

Bagged a couple of Bunnies, rooks pigeon so far, great fun plinking too. am hoping to step up to pcp soon. Seing as we have to get a FAC in Eire regardless of power, i was thinking of going for the most powerful i can get (with accuracy).

Any fellow Irish here?

Hello- Welcome to AirGunHome.com

I believe you may be the first Irish here- we have quite a few people from the UK-England, one or two I seem to recall from Scotland- but I think you may be the first from Ireland. Lots of other former Empire country members around here- Canada, Australia and so on...

yep, air rifles are not very popular in eire. Basically because the same license is required for a rimfire/shotgun as an air rifle... regardless of power.
in fact while looking for an air rifle in the past year, even dealers have been trying to veer me towards a rimmy! one dealer didnt know air rifles had advanced since he was a kid.

i plan on making it more popular over here, ive even just convinced my mate to buy an air arms fac s410 !!

so ill be looking for a powerful pcp myself soon and will continue to follow this site (very informative)!

cheers.

connor.

Flanum, Airguns not popular there? Many of us Yanks will be there for the World Championship Field Target Match! Are you saying we won't have much competition? LOL Google info for AAFTA.

I find that for me, this is more than adequate in terms of power,
.22 Airforce Condor,

and as you can see very accurate. These were taken at 85 yards.
