Fiberglass is a lot more durable than phenolic. I don't even mess
with the former. Too fragile.
I also do a lot of breadbord style point to point. While not as
elegant as printed, it is much faster in getting the product into
use.
I've never done any photo etching, only with a masking pen
and masking paste. I used to do a lot of board fabrication
when I was in the scouts. |

The trouble I find these days is alot of the new components are surface mount, and I tend to finish up with a lot of jumpers which defeats the object.
What I do like is "Vero board" I don't know what you call it over there, but it has many strips of copper on one side and holes every 2mm, you just break the copper strip with a drill to make a circuit board.

I think that it is called utility breadboard or perfboard over here. |

This is a update to the power adjuster so that the adjusting knob is prevented from moving once set, it involves cutting a slot along the adjusting shaft and a spring loaded locating ball in the rear plug.

It is called stripboard over here, perfboard is what you are most likely calling breadboard and breadboard is those white boards that you can just plug components into without soldering them.
Edit:Oops did not notice how old this thread was. Don't even know how I got here.

Doesn't matter how old the thread is- except to point out how Al still isn't fabricating these things and selling them to me (or anyone else)!

If ever I get around to producing them you can have the franchise.
My two Stage trigger unit for a 2240 is going down a bomb in Europe, if I could get someone to make them I think there is money there?

Another bump??
Thanks to Al, I was provided the drawings for this little project. It's been a fun way to kill a couple lunch hours too.
Still have to do a test fit and groove the upper stem for the detent ball.
Then a final polish, and some cold blue. Getting there.
Thanks Al.

Hi Al
I had to go and look in my gun cabinet to make sure mine wasn’t missing.
I’m not sure whether the drawings show it or not but I cut fine rings around the adjuster shaft to make the setting visible, saves counting the number of turns.
Cheers Al |

Whew!! Got it back in time then eh? Bloody quick trip across the pond and back.
Grooves were not in the drawings, but you mentioned them in the thread. Will see about adding them if it seems necessary.
Looking forward to trying this out. ...if it EVER stops raining.
