| I got this .177 cal nightstalker pellet gun. How do I use the CO2 tanks? I bought 2 brand new tanks but the tip is sealed...do I have to poke open the tip so the air can release? I put the tank in the gun not knowing what im doing and it doesn't fire..and I'm guessing because of the CO2 tanks being sealed. Would appreiate the help..thanks! |

Hi teebee Welcome to the site.
What ever you do DO NOT PUNCHER THE TOP OF THE CO2 TANK.
The tanks are sealed and when you screw them into the gun a pin in the valve will pierce to seal and release the co2, you have to screw the Co2 tank in tightly for it to work.
Have fun

Thanks for the reply.
I tried to screw it in as tight as I can but it still doesn't make the hole. Could I be doing something wrong? |

In the manual it says to use " Crosman or Game Face brand 88g AirSource CO2 cylinders only. These bottles are made to fit the model NS1200 airgun."
According to Crosman some cylinders do not work with the Nightstalker.
Are yours Crosman? |

I got the gun from a buddy of mine and hes out of state so I can't get in contact with him yet to see what I need.
but
There was an empty CO2 tank left in the gun and it was a crosman..it has the hole in it..and contains 3.1oz (88g). In the walther tanks I have its the same oz description. |

| Any of the larger online airgun dealers should have stock on them- Airguns of Arizona, PyramydAir, airgundepot, etc. Check that they do have the stock before ordering however- if they don't, Crosman can sometimes take a while to replenish dealer inventory! |

| I can't believe you thought about puncturing the canister before putting it in the gun. That would certainly be an experience you wouldn't forget. The thing would probably freeze to your hand if you did that.[/list] |

| Did you get your hands on a new Crosman tank yet? I bet you could also find them at any local sporting goods store that carries Crosman products. |

Isn't he just talking about the plastic little thing that's on top of every CO2 canister? |
