I am having problems with a shipment of FX Revolution Rifles. None of them are operating in semi automatic mode. I suspect that in shipping there are features that are disabled.
Can anyone help with this problem?
Thanks

Will the rifle fire in single shot mode?
If so, you may have missed releasing the cocking lever for semi-auto mode- where you need to push it upwards and let it move forward in order for it to engage the magazine. Also- do you have enough pressure in the air reservoir- I bet if it's fairly low the gun may not allow semi-auto mode as it uses waste air and I assume some from the reservoir as well to cycle the action for the next shot.

Thank you, AirGunEric for your response. Yes the FX Revolution Air Rifles shoot in single shot mode. I have also charged all the units with 200 bars pressure.
Please expand on this statement that you gave "If so, you may have missed releasing the cocking lever for semi-auto mode- where you need to push it upwards and let it move forward in order for it to engage the magazine."
I believe that in order to shoot in any mode I have to release the cocking lever. Are you suggesting that there is a difference in the way the lever is released for single shot mode as compared to semi automatic?
Thanks

I don't have a Revolution in front of me to be able to verify- but the statement of "engage the magazine" could be taken either (or both) of two ways, a) that the bolt must be moved forward to get behind the first pellet in the magazine for a single shot, and/or b) the magazine is 'engaged' by its drive mechanism- i.e. tab or gear to allow it to be rotated for semi-auto mode.
This review may help point you in the right direction, as it sounds like the Revolution is a bit finicky in how you cock it: http://www.reviewcentre.com/review194396.html |
