The CO2 capsule got stuck so I had to have that fixed and it came back with the cap unscrewable so I had to get that fixed, too. Then it got unscrewable again so I put some oil on it and I was able to unscrew it with a rubber band. I wasn't able to prevent it from getting too hard to screw again, and now the oil and rubber band don't work. How can the Crosman 2240 cap be unscrewed?

Cap shouldn't be that difficult- sounds like you may have cross-threaded things and your only option to get it out is to use some pliers or vicegrips- check threads on cap and in tube before putting it together again.

Not sure what you mean by 'cross-threaded'.

Cap threads and threads in tube were not correctly aligned and the cap was installed, re-threading things in a different orientation causing what you have now.

Oh, oh, not good. I don't have any pliers or vicegrip, but I'll see if I can get one. Thanks.
