I'm having a bit of a problem understanding your question.

Can I assume you want to know about the Crosman 357 and how good or bad a pistol it is?

I will assume that, and say the 357 Crosman is not a high-end pistol (retails for around $40 in the U.S.)- but for the money it's pretty good- Co2 powered, multi-shot magazine, shoots ok to about 10m maximum, no more. Certainly not a match-pistol.

The old metal 357 that looks like the Colt Python is very accurate and shoots about 450fps. Match speeds and likes match pellets.

The newer plastic 'Anaconda' looking Crosman isn't worth having as a paperweight from what I've been told by a friend that tunes air pistols Puke

I have a Crosman 357-4-8 kit for the pass 4 years and a couple 1000 shots.
I find the 4" barrel too short and the 8" too long but more accurate.
So the 6" barrel would be a good choice IMHO.
If I try to fire fast with Wadcutter pellet, it will jam.
The trigger is OK once I cock the pistol first.
On mine it has plastic pistol grips.
I get about 60 good shots per co2 at 70F / 20C

A Crosman 2240 a much better choice.

I just bought a 357 in a bag off the Yellow. The guy said he took it apart 15 years ago and put everything in a bag but never reassembled it.
Well being as stupid as I can be I made him him an offer.Damn if he didn't take it!.So if anyone has an exploded view of one of these I think I'm going to need a copy,or you'll be seeing a 357 in a bag for sale one more time LOL.

Happy Easter

Mnuals, here:

Phase 1: http://www.crosman.com/2004/pdf/manuals/crosman/357/C357-EVP1.pdf

Phase 2: http://www.crosman.com/2004/pdf/manuals/crosman/357/C357%20EVP2.pdf

Both of these are older versions of the 357 (metal) made from 1983-1997.

Good luck!

I'll get back to you, i just picked one of these up from Pyramyd (the price was right and I like revolvers). I put it in my air gun cabinet and am waiting for constant temps above 70 (f) to get the best out of my co2. I picked up a umerex 1911 at the same time, I haven't shot either yet. when it warms up well, I'll try to remember to get back to you on it.

I picked up the 357 from the fellow who happened to live right here in Mich. at 400 PM.We met in a McDonalds parking lot.Sure enough he handed me an old Sears plastic bag that was half full of what appeared to be a Crosman 357.Completly taken apart.I examined the contents for critical parts, valve, hammer, trigger group, springs and just an over all look at all the pieces that I thought I would need in the bag to at least get a good start at reassembly.
To my amazement everything was there except two screws that hold the frame/body together 3/8 "x 6/32 pan head screws.By 6PM I was back home with my gun in a bag and the exploded view AirGunEric directed me to via Crosman site(Thank you ERIC!)
After 4 hours of putting it together and taking it apart again because something was not in the right place,I managed to get it right!
The two screws I needed are the same size as the ones that hold a light switch cover to the switch on the wall !!

I want to thank Eric Again for the Link to the nessassery exploded views! It took both variations to figure this damn thing outI also want to thank the previous owner Jerry from the Yellow Forum another Michigan Air Gunner.

BBgun Bob
I wish I would have taken a$$'y pic's as I was racking my pea brain tryng to figure out how to put this thing together. But I needed total concentration not a camera.
Left Side

Cocked and Ready to test fire!

under500fps,
You should know me by now ! before I put it back together I had to do a few BBGun BOB mods..I looked at valve assbly and the way CO2 is fed to the valve.(take a look at exploded view). There is a little tube which carries gas from cartrage to valve.I increased this tube ID from about .045 to .060 with a
some brass fuel line tubing for RC airplanes.I also opened the gas recieving port in the valve to twice its size.I shoots real hard, but with no crony I can't tell what its doing, but it is loud when fired. It does'nt sound like that stock Hahn I have basically the same inards, and when it hits the alum. trap it lets out a good wack.I think I'm going to open the Hahn back up and see what I can do with it.Although it is configured totally different(the valve is in the cylinder)I'm sure it can be modded for a little more power.Ya just have to allow it to get more gas.
I never screwed with gas pistols but am finding out you can make powerful shooters out of them.Unlike a spring pistol where size restrictions limit you to power output.
I put a CO2 cartrage in it last night, shot it once in the dark, this morning I figured it would be out of gas.It didn't loose a bit.Cartrage is still full,I also used soapy water to see if it was leaking anywhere. No bubbles means no leaks!

BBGunBob

Here's the two for compairsion
Crosman 357 Double Action .177 Cal.

The Hahn Single Action multi shot (about 20 in magazine)BB only

I'd love to find one of the old single action revolvers (affordablly that is). I've "read" that Umerax may be considering a replica single action revolver, but so far no sign of it.

You haven't screwed around enough with the Co2 guns yet- eventually you also hit "size" restrictions where the valve isn't large enough to hold enough Co2 to put out any more power- then it becomes an issue of custom-made parts.
