Hi, New member here. I know this topic has been done to death, and I spent a lot of time reading up on it. I have a new 2018 in .22 caliber, the problem is there's so much going on in the forums depending on what the various end users require from their guns and to what length they will go to obtain their desires, whether that be more power, longer shot strings, or a combination. Some are starting out with 'doctored' guns to meet their local laws depending on country, or using regulators, and in 3 different calibers, so we end up with a jungle of configurations, combinations and resultant mods .
My request is simple. I have the full power US model .22 non regulated 180cc res. I'm leaning toward 18.1gr JSB heavies or 17.9gr H&N sniper magnums for ammo, (to be decided) ..I need a minimum 20 full power shots for hunting, I do not have access to a chrono.
I wondered what anyone else out there with a similar requirement and same gun had tried, I was thinking just 3 turns out on the hammer screw everything else left stock, no plugging ports ect. I know the shot count would likely suffer but again I only need 2 clips or more worth of shots. Thoughts anyone?
Thanks in advance. |
