I have been tinkering with the Umarex Colt SAA and would have to say your project may not be possible. The valve assembly does not look strong enough to handle more pressure and it is not adjustable. It will not be possible to contain a HPA reservoir inside the handle. You could rig up a CO2 cartridge with a soldered hose fitting going out the bottom to an external regulated air source with acceptable pressure. As to adding a long pellet barrel, it is possible. You can add a extension outer barrel that will slip together into the original outer barrel. A .177 should give little trouble, but a .22 looks like a lot of work.
Umarex came out with a 7.5" barrel version of the Colt SAA. |

The metal in the Umarex Colt is not steel. Seems to be some kind of casting metal that is non magnetic. If you are going to make a splice to the external barrel to make it longer, it may be hard to match the metal with the added piece.
You do know that the Wyatt Earp Buntline Colt is a fictional item? There were Colts made in the long barrel versions, but they were called something else and used by someone else. Not trying to stop your project. It would be interesting if you can realize it. |
