The Daisy pellets are likely not too high-end, Crosman's are typically more mid-range pellets.
The Super Point .177 Crosman pellets are wider than most- pellets like any manufacturer products have a tolerance range, and the .177 Superpoints have always been on the wide-side of things- which is why they are tight in your barrel. I would suggest trying something different, such as the Crosman .177 hollow point pellets.
As for losing velocity due to the tight fit, that may be occurring, or exactly the opposite may be happening by not allow air to escape around the perimeter of the pellet as it travels through the barrel. Again, I would suggest trying some completely different pellets and see what you get- every barrel is slightly different than the next. |

Pellet guns are really moody, and what Eric says is completely true. I went through at least 14 variety of pellet before I found 3 that I liked. (For my .177, anyway) |

I would add that in all my guns dome pellets are generally more accurate than pointed pellets. In my B-50 I've found the Crosman Premier .22 hollow points also seem to shoot really well.
When I've looked at pointed pellets on high speed they seem to corkscrew slightly. Some are worse than others. |
