1:00AM I think it was! I think you were closer to the epicentre Al, I didn't feel it over this side!

Not much damage, a few cracks in the road and one or two thing fell off shelves. It was 5.2 magnitude quake with the epicentre 30 miles away, it lasted for about 10 seconds, like you say Eric you don't expect things like this in England, everdently we get one of this size every 20 years, the strange thing is that my dog sensed it 5 minutes before it happened, she was running around the house growling. Weird!

I'm not sure about that Anton, but the biggest earthquake we ever had was 5.6 magnitude and the epicentre was on the Dogger Bank, which is half way between me and you.

That's good to hear there was not too much damage done!
Strange how Animals always know when something big is about to happen, Makes you wonder!

Maybe dogs all have 23 teeth or something...
