I got it finished up,had a couple delays discovered my breech wasn't cut square to the tube. I got a new hard seal and shimmed it out then filed ever so gently for a firm snug fit. then new piston seal was lost by fed ex 3 times. but after the much waited on parts I got it back in 1 piece.its sporting a bsa essential scope. I haven't got the crony out yet but its got to be sendin a .177 cphp out at close to 900 fps. I was shooting 30 yards n she is giving me dime size groups. I have 2 more springs a stock jm spring,a vortex high power spring but decided enough high power rifles . its very easy cocking and my 5 shot reset paddle target at 30 yards its hitting them so hard it knocks the first paddle down when you shoot the second 1. and smooth no twang or viberation .this is my second record trigger ,I suppose my hw 55 has an early record so that's 3.but its been cleaned and all moving parts polished .set at 1.3 pounds pull. I'm very happy with how it came out.its a very early R1 low serial number .now my stable houses all Diana ,hw ,fwb 300s and 1 Romanian training rifle.only 1 Chinese pistol left a beeman p 17 . now I'm thinkin I'm needing to trade my Diana 54 off for a hw 50s as its getting too heavy for my arms anymore, the r1 is almost too much but the 54 is out of bounds for me |
