1) Target to download and print: Week 23; Feb/11>Feb/17/2008

Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
4) Any sighting device may be used.
5) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
6) 20 shots at targets, 1 per gold dot target maximum.
5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using another copy of the target.
7) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
8) Scoring is 10 points for gold, 3 points for black and no points for white. Touching the edge of a colour counts for points.
Only one hit per gold dot counts. Maximum point count is 200.
9) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
10) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries- but all rules must be followed for each.
11) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
12) This is an honorable contest for sport- if you lie or cheat, you are the only one who really loses. Please keep it above-board!
13) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday.
14) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others.

I couldn't really make out the four lonely yellow dots clearly, so just took pot shots at them more or less.

Pistol: Custom 2240
Sights: 2X scope
Pellets: .22 Crosman wadcutters
Distance 5m
Stance: 2 hand hold
Time: 6min
Score: 125/200

Totaly could not see the four lonely dots at 10m shooting with iron sights this time but still got lucky. Thought I'd try iron sights as the black helps to aim.

Rifle: Diana 240 Classic
Sights: Iron
Pellets: RWS Diabolo Basic .177
Distance: 10m
Stance: Standing
Time: 11min
Score: 133/200

Nice shooting Ralphy. You didn't leave much wiggle room. All I could manage was a tie.
Steyr LP1, RWS pellets, 5 meters, one hand, 12 minutes, 183/200.

I just tried this target with my
Crosman 2240/89 sort of rifle
and I only scrored 119 out of 200.
Looks like I am the lowest score so far. Embarassed Crying or Very sad

I thought I was doing well this week as my score got closer to 200, until I realised we are only allowed one shot per target instead of two. So started off again a bit dejected.

Sat 16-2-2008
Time 11 minutes
Air Arms TX200HC .177
AA Field 4.52
Hawake Airmax Scope 3-9x40 AO
Standing off hand
Score
3 10 10 10
10 10
0 3 10 3
10 0 10 3
0 0
10 10 10 10

132/200

Good shooting Woody and Ralphy it's going to take a crack shot to better those scores. Mar as blown it this week, Johns given up in disgust, DW36 can't quite crack it, and Rene is the tail gunner so far this week. So who's left?.

Al

Nowhere close this week. 59 with the 747 and 42 with the 350.

Can't make the targets easier either, or there would be a bunch of ties . . . Rolling Eyes
