I am actually thinking about trying a new AirRifle out for the first time since my Daisy 953. So far I have liked my Crosman 2289's, Daisy 880's, and Daisy 953's.
I noted the specs on the new Crosman Legacy, looks to be a good rifle. From the looks of it it seems to be a Crosman 2100 with a better piston, a plastic receiver (good good), and a stronger hammer spring. Is there any more information on this air rifle?
The pot metal receiver of the Crosman 2100 is one thing I did NOT like about the 2100, and a good part of what kept me away from purchasing one. Now with the Plastic receiver of the Crosman legacy 1000 it should wear a lot less than the pot metal. Add the other upgrades and the Crosman Legacy 1000 should be the best pumper in my collection.
It has been a very long time since I have shot any of the normal type Crosman Multi Pump Rifles, though with how the 22889 does I would expect the solid metal piston in the Legacy 1000 alone to make a huge difference.
So my questions:
Is there more information on the Crosman Legacy 1000 pumper?
Does anyone know all the differences between the Crosman Legacy 1000 as apposed to the Crosman 2100?
Does anyone have real world numbers on the power level of the Crosman Legacy 1000?
How accurate is the Crosman Legacy 1000 out of box?
Does the Crosman Legacy 1000 represent the return of the "Megnum Pumper" at long last? |
