I visited an antiques fair yesterday at an old WW 2 airfield “RAF Hemswell” and one of the things I picked up was a framed copy of an AirGunners Prayer.
A different type of air gunner I admit but It gives a good insight into the feelings of a tail gunner about to go on a mission.

I can only imagine (and often have) how nerve-racking it must have been sitting back there wondering when/where that next "black dot" was going to appear on the horizon... |
