Grandma used to say "if summer comes on a Sunday we can have a picnic." I'm afraid I'll blink and miss it.

The daughter just moved her car to an alternative parking spot off the street. We now have more than enough to declare a "snow emergency," which means no parking on the street until the plows have passed. (Insert expletives here.)

Things are looking up. The snowplow driver didn't dump the whole wad of snow in our driveway like he usually does. Hopefully this is the last performance for the year of the neighborhood snowblower ballet. Kind of pretty, though.

Temperatures are yoyo-ing over here. No way to dress for sunny weather if a north-eastern comes around at random.

My girlfriend woke up with a fever this morning because of the weird weather at the moment. Neutral

I went to bed thinking, "I don't need to move the cars off the street - after all, it's May and the snow is just going to melt when it hits the ground." I spent two hours this morning digging the wife's, the daughter's, and my own car out of 14" of crap. Somebody tell me there's light at the end of the tunnel.
