Bad news... the gas springs I found appear to be slow working ones. They produce enough power but when the spring is fully compressed and wants to come back out again, the airflow back out of the cili ...

The Phantom spring has an outer diameter of 11/16" of an inch- but there is a bit of room in the piston and tube for something slightly larger, maybe 3/4".

I'm not sure if parts that aren't ment for that purpose will work very well...

Kev, you will need an adjustable strut, or you won't get anywhere.

Do you mean adjustable in length? or adjustable in pressure? I can order the spring in all lengths, diameters and pressure settin ...

I recon that's gonna cost so much that you'll end up with an over powered gun.

I'm not going to use a special airgun gas spring, I'm going to buy one at a local hardware store... they cost about $5 ...

I'm planning on putting a gas spring in my phantom... I found gas springs in a local hardware store in all different diameter sizes and lengths.

Anyone know the diameter of a Phantom1000 spring? I' ...
