When I did my rebuilds I used all factory parts with a slight coating of molly lube on the sides of the piston seal.

The seals are all brand new. As a matter of fact everytime the piston was unable to send the pellet out, the cylinder held the compression until I broke the barrel open. It sounded like opening a can ...

More testing today. About 300 pellets. Things I learned were the R1 will jar itself apart it left to its own demise. And I mean everything. So the vertical stringing continued. Eventually I broke out ...

When I got home I cleaned the bore again. And tested the pellet/rifle combination. Same problem. So I suspected the issue was in the bore rather than the powerplant.

Ok. I chronied the rifles. The marksman went from 450fps to 565fps. The R1 went from 671 to 860fps.
The marksman is 13 years old and the R1 is 31 years old. Neither have ever had a bore cleaning. So ...

I finally got the R1 and the Marksman 0035 rebuilt. The marksman got a new spring that was an inch longer than the 15 year old one it replaced. The hardest part was getting the trigger back in.

It was made in 1986 and sold thru Kmart if I remember correctly. It was a single shot break barrel pellet rifle. So I really think it was an elgamo. Is elgamo the same as gamo of today?

I need a good place to order parts like springs and seals ect. I am in need of a rear sight elevation dial for the marksman 0035.
