I like the glasses I get at Princess Auto. They are CSA, stop UV and have bifocal reading lenses in the bottom so I can see to work on the gun as well as shoot. All that for only about $6.

I have found that Evapo-rust does a good job on rusty items. I have never tried it on an air gun, though. It would certainly be good for the hard to get at parts inside the piston etc.

Even at 20 P.S.I. how long would it take to hand-pump the volume you would need?

Well the volume of the barrel is 160,850 cubic inches or 93 cubic feet, if that helps.

I make it about 1970 ft/s if you ignore air resistance. Another acceptable answer would be: PDQ! Smile

Wikipedia says 2,500 to 2,690 ft/s. If that is the 16"/50 caliber Mark 7 gun.
