I have owned three Daisy 880s, and of those only one (1) was what I consider accurate. It was my first one, and somebody at Daisy had screwed up and put the rifled barrel that went in the 881 in my 8 ...

So basically failures never happen unless you do it by accident or have played with the gun by modifying it somehow. (Not counting crappy Chinese knock offs)

I would add that in all my guns dome pellets are generally more accurate than pointed pellets. In my B-50 I've found the Crosman Premier .22 hollow points also seem to shoot really well.

A trapped or held barrel is a must. A barrel that snaps back can stop with enough G force to bend itself even if your fingers aren't in the way.

Also, you do not necessarily have to have a finge ...

So, I seem to recall there were some failures with the HiPac adapters and he shut down. What exactly happened? Where can I read some first hand accounts?
