I usually just stone the contact points on the sear lever smooth, and then use a thinner diameter wire spring.

Then fitting the spring with 1/8" poly vinyl tubing as a spring guide keeps the ...

Then why do Maccari kits come with springs that are really tight in there?

I have the feeling it has more to do with the piston-pin, the spring, and the spring guide not being tuned in to each oth ...
